I aim to freeze genuine moments and milestones. I stray away from stiff, traditional poses, opting instead for the magic found in-between. To craft those authentic and artistic shots, I embrace a variety of creative prompts and techniques, keeping my clients in constant motion and laughter throughout our time together. Color is a key element in my work - think vibrant, bold, and natural tones that bring each image to life. I shoot primarily digital with a little 35mm film mixed in.
I'm based in Concord, New Hampshire but my camera takes me across New England and beyond to capture my clients. One of my favorite parts of this job is all the traveling I get to do! My studio, right in downtown Concord, is ready and waiting for all kinds of sessions!

"I cannot recommend Carly enough! Her work obviously speaks for itself, but something you may not be able to tell from looking at her photos is how wonderful of a personality she has. She is professional, calm, inviting and overall, a fantastic presence to have on your wedding day! She was not pushy or forcing us to do any poses or pictures we didn’t want. I loved how organized Carly was throughout the entire process! I was extremely impressed with her PDF on her wedding services that she sent to me initially and was blown away when I spoke with her. She comes seriously prepared the day of the wedding – to the point that she had an emergency sewing kit and was able to sew my bustle into my dress in the middle of the reception as it kept falling. She seriously saved me there! She remembered absolutely every single pose and formal photo that I wanted, which is amazing because your mind is all over the place the day of your wedding. Carly and the second shooter she had for our wedding, Andrew, were such a fantastic presence and really did a great job of being everywhere but not invasive of anyone’s space. Carly is the perfect person to hire to take your wedding photos, especially if you value candid photos versus posed shots, want someone who can capture New England charm and beauty and be organized. Carly was very flexible the day of the wedding and I never once felt any sort of pressure or like I was being rushed. I also felt that her including engagement photos in her pricing was a great idea – it is something I wasn’t really looking for, but it was certainly a value-add to meet her before the wedding and get some wonderful shots of me and my husband! I felt like I built a relationship with Carly, which made the day much easier. To top it all off, she got us a bunch of sneak peeks super fast!"

"We cannot say enough great things about Carly and her photography. The week before our wedding we had an issue with our photographer and needed to find a new one and by a miracle Carly was available. From the moment I spoke with her on the phone, I felt at ease and knew that our day was in good hands. The day of the wedding, Carly and her second photographer Andrew arrived right on time and their energy was exactly what we needed. Carly stayed to photograph the girls getting ready and Andrew went to photograph the guys. They both captured meaningful pictures of us with our closest family and friends. They photographed all of the important pieces of the ceremony (and it was great to have multiple angles), fit in all of the family and bridal party formals we had discussed, and took beautiful bridal portraits and photos of me and my husband. Neither me nor my husband are super comfortable in front of the camera, but Carly’s prompts and her style of photography resulted in beautiful, sweet photos that captured our love and friendship perfectly. For the rest of the night, Carly was right there to help whenever anything went awry. She helped me bustle my dress and she made sure that we were feeling good and not worrying about time. Carly did her best to get every shot we requested and some we never even knew we needed. Even though she squeezed us in at the last minute, she still delivered a sneak peek within 5 days of our wedding, so we could enjoy looking back at our day while we were on our honeymoon. When she sent us our final album, again within the agreed upon time frame, we were so impressed and pleased by the final product. She even sent us a cute box with printed out photos, and a USB drive with all of our pictures on it. If you are considering hiring Carly, don’t think about it any longer, just hire her. Photos are so important and her expertise, professionalism, and style of photography will ensure you have a great photography experience on your wedding day."

When doing research for a photographer, we were searching for someone in the NH area who did not over edit or over filter photos, but at the same time also did not leave photos looking "raw". We were also looking for someone who we felt comfortable with. That is when we stumbled upon Carly's website.
